The GKTECH braided brake lines are a direct replacement of the factory lines and are stronger (read: more reliable) than the factory rubber lines which are prone to breaking but they also eliminate the spongy feel of the standard brake lines.

The front lines are also longer to compensate for big brake setups or cars with more steering lock (which would see stretching with the factory line)

The GKTECH braided brake lines are assembled using stainless steel fittings and hose that consists of a Teflon inner tube wrapped in stainless steel braid and a PVC outer coating for protection. The brake lines have been independently tested to comply with FMVSS106 standards for brake hoses. This makes the lines ADR approved in Australia and they are marked as such on the brake line assemblies.

The FMVSS106 testing procedure that the lines have been tested against includes the following tests:

  • 370lbs pull test
  • 35 hour whip test
  • 7000psi burst test
  • -45degC to 146degC temperature tests
  • 24 hour salt corrosion resistance test

We have included a custom machined brake line block which sits in the OEM location which eliminates one long line which has tendencies to get caught on the tyre or other suspension components. This piece keeps the brake lines short and concise.

FAQs

Will this fit my car?
We can only confirm fitment for the vehicles listed above under vehicle compatibility. If your car is not listed there, then we don't know if it will fit.

Do you make these to suit other cars?
We only sell the parts listed on our website. If it's not listed on our website, then we don't sell it. Sorry.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech brake lines?
Our lines are an OEM replacement and are stronger and more reliable than OEM. They also do not flex and swell as the OEM rubber lines do.

What modifications are required, are these hard to fit?
No modifications are required, simply just remove the factory lines and refit these.

Is there anything else needed for installation?
You will need to re-bleed your brakes, so you will need tools and brake fluid, in terms of the lines they will arrive as shown in the product photo.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?
Yes, the brake lines are easy to install. Simply remove your old lines and replace them with your new lines, then tighten the lines referencing the OEM torque specs. You will then need to top up the brake fluid and bleed the brake system. However, being the brake system we recommend only a trained professional to install this product.

Great lines

Really good fit only lines I could find that are longer than oem to feel comfortable with my angle kit.

One gripe I wish the fitting on the rear caliper side was a swivel fitting.

Thanks for the feedback Patrick. Unfortunately, it's not possible to use a swivel fitting on the rear line due to how it seats (with either the Brembo or the non-Brembo)

Brakes feel great now!

Great addition to my v35, brakes now inspire me with confidence. Only thing I would say is don't try to use the stock mounting points for the front lines on the v35, especially if you have the super lock kit. Line will rub on the upright and the wheel in this case. The little J piece that comes out of machined block that bolts to the strut needs to face downward, pics show it well. May seem obvious, but I paid a shop to fit these and they managed to botch it so worth knowing!

Amazing brake feel!

Great bang-for-buck upgrade to any Z. Don’t risk ripping your brake lines off at full lock!

Tip: when you munch your stock brake lines with a random 10mm… use a butt-load of WD40 and a set of vice-grips. You know where those solid lines are going? In the wise words of the MCM boys… IN THE BIN!!
