Setting up a standalone hydraulic handbrake kit can be expensive and require more commitment than you might want, which is why we’ve created this in-line hydraulic handbrake kit. Now, with the added benefit of an inline brake bias valve, this kit offers even greater control and adjustability.

The in-line hydraulic handbrake kits are significantly cheaper to set up compared to dual-caliper systems, as they don’t require additional lines, dual caliper brackets, or an extra pair of calipers. Unsprung weight is also reduced, making it a lighter and more efficient option.

The unpredictable nature of the Toyota ABS module, especially on track, is another reason we’ve included the GKTECH ABS Delete Manifold Block in this kit. This replaces the OEM ABS unit and allows the OEM brake system to work seamlessly with the in-line master cylinder.

What’s New: The Inline Brake Bias Valve

The standout addition to this kit is the inline brake bias valve, which lets you fine-tune the front-to-rear brake balance. This is particularly useful for optimizing braking performance under different track conditions, giving you more control and consistency.

What’s Included:

  • ABS Delete Manifold Block: A direct replacement for your OEM ABS unit, designed to work with the included braided brake lines.

  • Braided Brake Lines: Made in-house in Australia using stainless steel fittings and PTFE-lined stainless steel braided hose. These lines are tested to meet FMVSS106 standards, ensuring they’re ADR-approved and capable of withstanding extreme conditions, including:

    • 370lbs pull test

    • 35-hour whip test

    • 7000psi burst test

    • Temperature resistance from -45°C to 146°C

    • 24-hour salt corrosion resistance test

  • Handbrake Handle: A CNC machined aluminium lever designed for both ergonomics and aesthetics. Available in silver, black, blue, pink, purple, red, orange, gold, or neo chrome.

  • Inline Brake Bias Valve: Allows precise adjustment of front-to-rear brake balance for improved performance on track.

  • Master Cylinder: Choose between 5/8" (recommended for non-Brembo calipers) and 3/4" (recommended for Brembo calipers).

  • Optional Chassis-Specific Handbrake Mount: A side-mounted bracket designed for easy installation without cutting or drilling into your transmission tunnel.

Important Notes:

  • Removing the ABS unit will disable ABS and TCS functionality.

FAQs

How do I know which size master cylinder to choose?
Typically the 5/8" master cylinder is our go-to, the lever feel with this master is balanced, having a longer more typical throw to gauge feel while still efficiently locking the rear brakes.

The 3/4" master cylinder is larger, so when used in that same setup the lever feel will be more direct, firmer, and require less throw to lock the rear brakes. However, if you are running larger brake calipers such as the OEM Brembos and a large wheel/tyre setup and do want a bit more bite, we would suggest this master cylinder.

Lastly, we have the 7/8" which is slightly larger than the 3/4" for just that bit more of a firm feeling and bite then what 3/4" offers.
