The GKTECH R33 GTS-T Skyline power steering hard line replacements are a braided stainless steel pair of lines that replace the 2 factory hard lines on the steering rack itself. The OEM hard lines are prone to damage with the removal of engine/gearboxes and the way that the fittings seal on the rack is irregular, off the shelf fittings from your local hose shop will not suffice. Never mind, we have machined some custom SS316 internal flare sealed adapters to suit our -4AN braided hose.
The GKTECH braided brake lines are assembled by us in-house in Australia using stainless steel fittings, stainless steel braided line with a Teflon inner tube and PVC outer for protection
NOTE - The Gktech power steering lines currently only suit steering racks with M12 fittings, which is predominantly series 2 R33, series 1 R33 also may have M12 fittings so it is best to measure first if you are unsure.
A guide on how to do this can be seen below;
First check the model number on the steering rack itself, here:
Early model R33 has the steering rack number ‘49001 19U00’ this rack uses M14 fittings.
Later model R33 steering rack number is ‘49001 19U05’ this rack uses M12 fittings.
If you cannot read the sticker, then measure the outside diameter of the thread on the fitting. There is enough thread visible and able to me measured whilst it is still installed to the steering rack, so there is no need to disassemble.
Early model R33 will measure to be 13.5 - 14.0 mm on all four fittings.
Later model R33 will measure to be 11.5 - 12.0 mm on all four fittings.
