The ABS module on the Nissan's of the 90's are renown for being unpredictable, particularly when on track. The GKTECH ABS Delete line kits are an easy bolt-on solution to remove the complete ABS system on your vehicle.
We developed these kits after the frustration in trying to remove the ABS on our own cars. The normal route is to find a car without ABS and swap the master cylinder and all lines in the engine bay, however, these cars are becoming rarer by the day.
Our kit is super easy to install, simply remove the standard lines and plug them in. Total install time should be around 30 minutes.
The GKTECH braided brake lines are assembled using stainless steel fittings and hose that consists of a Teflon inner tube wrapped in stainless steel braid and a PVC outer coating for protection. The brake lines have been independently tested to comply with FMVSS106 standards for brake hoses. This makes the lines ADR approved in Australia and they are marked as such on the brake line assemblies.
The FMVSS106 testing procedure that the lines have been tested against includes the following tests:
- 370lbs pull test
- 35 hour whip test
- 7000psi burst test
- -45degC to 146degC temperature tests
- 24 hour salt corrosion resistance test
- Direct replacement of the standard hard lines
- Cleans up the look of the engine bay
- For race cars only, however, no permanent modifications are required.
NOTE: T-piece fitting will differ from photos shown here, the photo here is of our original prototype
NOTE#2: Now available for both LHD and RHD vehicles
FAQs
Will this fit my car?We can only confirm fitment for the vehicles listed above under "vehicle compatibility". If your car is not listed there, then we don't know if it will fit.
Do you make these to suit other cars?
We only sell the parts listed on our website. If it's not listed on our website, then we don't sell it. Sorry.
We do make a LHD and a RHD specific version for the ABS delete kit, which you will need to select before purchasing.
What's the advantage of using the GKTech ABS delete kit?
OEM non-ABS hardware is becoming harder to find. This kit allows you to neatly delete the ABS while also using our UK made stainless steel fittings, Teflon inner tube and PVC outer ADR/DOT and TUV spec. braided brake lines. You can also mount the lines to suit your application.
What modifications are required, are these hard to fit?
No modifications are required, simply just remove and refit.
Is there anything else needed for installation?
You will need to re-bleed your brakes, so you will need tools and brake fluid, in terms of the kit, it will arrive as shown in the product photo.
Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?
Yes, the kit is easy to install and should take around 30 minutes. Simply remove your old lines, remove your ABS module, then put these lines in their place. You can run the lines along the K-Frame or the firewall. Then tighten the lines referencing the OEM torque specs. You will then need to top up the brake fluid and bleed the brake system. However, being the brake system we recommend only a trained professional to install this product.
Are there any negatives to removing the ABS lines/module?
Removing ABS for a track driven car is a must and is strongly suggested. ABS modules are known to kick in under hard braking or in the wet unexpectedly.
Will my ABS light show an error?
Yep, it sure will. Simply remove the bulb from the dash cluster and you'll be none the wiser, problem solved.
Is it illegal to remove the ABS module on a street driven car?
We're not 100% sure but as with most mods, it probably is. If it is illegal then we suggest for race track use only and ABS is use full for everyday driving scenarios.
