When installing a hydraulic handbrake in your car, you'd typically have to drill holes or weld a bracket in place. We understand that not everyone wants to do that, so we've made these bolt in brackets.
The brackets bolt to the stock transmission shifter hole and allows you to fit our hydraulic handbrake assembly without modifications to the transmission tunnel.
For the 370z specifically, we have made a horiozontal assembly so that the factory items in the center console don't have to be removed or modified (besides a hole for the lever to pop through)
- 100% direct fit with no modifications required to the gearbox tunnel
- Available for either LHD and RHD variants.
- Laser cut from 5mm thick 4130 Chromoly sheet and zinc coated for longevity
NOTE: The assembly bracket option (LOWX-HBRK) in this listing is the ONLY assembly bracket that can be used with these mounts.
NOTE: These master cylinders are specific to the use of the assembly bracket in this listing (LOWX-HBRK) being that they are remote reservoir as the master cylinder lays horizontally.
FAQs
Will this work with "insert brand of hydraulic hand-brake here"?No, this bracket is designed specifically for our hydraulic handbrake assembly.
Are any permanent modifications required to fit this bracket?
The side mount brackets can be installed with zero modifications. The console mount option will require trimming of the center console and cutting a hole for the lever (obviously)
How do I know which size master cylinder to choose?
The 5/8" master cylinder is proven on the Z chassis running non sport calipers, the lever feel with this master is balanced, having a longer throw to gauge feel while still efficiently locking the rear brakes.
The 3/4" master cylinder is larger so when used in that same setup the lever feel will be more direct, firmer, and require less throw to lock the rear brakes. If you are running larger brakes such as the factory Akebono "Sport" and or a larger wheel/tire setup and do require a bit more bite, we would suggest the 3/4" master cylinder.
