The kit comes with 2 sets of springs to suit your preference. To install simply remove the 2 bolts from the side of the transmission under the shifter assembly and install with your choice of springs.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech transmission springs?
They make your gear stick move towards the center of the box (ie. neutral) faster and keep force on it to give you more feel of the shifter.

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?
No modifications are required, simply just remove and refit.

Is there anything else needed for installation?
No, you can use your OEM hardware, in terms of the spring kit itself it will arrive as shown in the product photo.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?
Yes, provided you have general mechanical knowledge it is very straightforward. Installation should take around 20 minutes.

How do I install these springs?
Very easily, remove the 2 bolts on the transmission under the shifter area (there's one on each side) and insert the new springs and do up the bolts.

GREAT ADJUSTMENT FOR EVERY USE

Really happy with this spring kit. I installed the softer set and it made the shifter feel great for daily driving, with a nice balance of firmness and smoothness. Gear changes feel more positive without being too stiff, and it pairs perfectly with a short throw shifter for an even better overall feel.

350z Shifter Return Springs

I installed the Firmer set of springs and can say the shifter response is perfectly balanced. Smoother shifting response as it leads you into the next gear easier. Install wasn’t fun on the Driver side, as you can only get one hand in place to hold, twist, and apply very firm pressure to an increased stiffness spring. Only complaints are shifting into Reverse takes a little more effort, slight increase in shifter NVH at idle, but not noticeable when moving.
The softer set in the kit were about the same as a brand new OEM shifter springs.
Would buy again!

Good Improvement

I installed these along with the short shifter while I had the transmission out. Softer springs were plenty firm compared to stock. Gotta day, without at least angling the transmission down significantly I dont know that you could get these in.

I installed the light springs (still stiffer than stock) with the GKtech short shifter and new shifter bushing, it eliminated all the slopes from worn components. gear selections are confident and enjoyable with a tactile 'snicket' going into gear. feels like bolt action on a rifle now.

Small hands.

I installed these with the trans still in the car, very small clearance to fit wrench. I had Mtec springs and the heavy springs are a big improvement. Nice with coolerworx short shifter.
