Z33 350z/ V35 Solid Aluminium Steering Rack Bushes

First thing I notice when I put on these bushings, is that my front subframe is bent. :) I had to do a little work to get the rack with its new bushings to line up because of the tweak in the subframe. Otherwise, installation was easy. Only 1 of the pieces needed pressed in, and the other 3 slid in perfectly. Well machined and fits great!

So, I bought these not for a z33/g35, but for my y34 (2003-04 Infiniti m45). The round bushings press in and fit perfectly, the half moon ones that go on the passenger side are slightly too small in diameter, but some persuasion with a deadblow, and was able to “customize” them to fit nicely. Improvement over the mushy oem bushings with 160k miles on em, and very easy to install! My old bushings pressed out with a deadblow and a 17mm impact socket they were so mushy. I used a deadblow to press the new ones in, with a block of wood supporting the other side. (Use emery cloth and then neverseize on the bore before installing the new bushings)

I don't recommend this install as a singular job--do this when you're working on the whole front suspension. I had the front subframe out and the steering rack tied up so it was an easy install. I would never do this otherwise, it's just too mess dealing with the LCA, the exhaust, the engine brace, etc, etc. But, if you're already in the middle of a job, then add this to the project!
