The GKTECH Z34 370Z/V36 Skyline polyurethane gearbox mount is a direct replacement of the standard item and will help reduce engine and gearbox movement to get the power to the ground. Particularly useful in track cars where the car is off and on the throttle regularly.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech Polyurethane gearbox mount?
Polyurethane gearbox mounts keep engine and driveline movement to an absolute minimum which enables the running gear to directly get the power to the ground. In addition to being polyurethane, we include 2 sets of inserts in different hardnesses so you can use the inserts to your preference, including both a 70ShA and a 80ShA set. Having removable inserts also means that this mount is rebuildable should the need arise.

Will this work with both manual or auto gearboxes? Good news, it will!

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?
No modifications are required just simply remove and refit.

Does this cause much vibration/noise in the cabin?
As with any mount that's more rigid than OEM, there will be an increase in NVH. But, being Polyurethane - it will not be as noticeable as a solid mount is. This is the trade off to reducing engine and gearbox movement through aftermarket mounts.

Is there anything else needed for installation?
No, the mounts come with all accessories to be fitted. They will arrive as shown in the product photo.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?
Yes, it is relatively straightforward. Installation should take around 20 minutes.

Polyurethane trans Mount RZ34

Very easy install should take around 40 ish mins, the trans brace to the chassis brace is annoying sometimes, you gotta slam and beat it to position. The trans mount itself is wonderful, puts power down so so well, it’s unbelievable, it’s also very loud during the first 200 miles; it literally felt like a speaker was amplifying the transmission noise, and even on stock clutch/flywheel there is a bit of chatter alike forks scratching a granite surface. One thing is, the poly trans mount is unironically louder than the solid mount I’m assuming because the poly attempts to mask noise and it ends up just being vibrations , while the solid is straight race car noises. 10/10 would do again and eventually upgrade to solid mount. GKtechs mount is also a stiffer poly than Z1’s, and as poly wears you don’t even feel it at all, so rather go stiffer than not.

One for the shifts

This is a necessary mod if you run a chassis mounted short shifter. Added full trust into my shifts as prior you could feel the box move with your hand of the shifter.
Noticeable (but expected) increase in NVH using the black PU, but totally worth it and quite liveable if you already have coilovers/adjustable arms.
Only issue I have is that it should have had pressed in bolts like the factory or other equivalent brands. Wouldn't let that stop you from buying this still super easy to install.

great quality part as usual

This mount looks amazing and the built quality is great. However for anything other than track use this mount is insanely noisy and introduces alot of vibration into the body of the car which makes the car unbearable to drive. Maybe im just getting old...

Legit parts

Easy install, can take less then 30min. No need to remove exhaust.
Clean looking parts.
Acknowledge it will bring you lots of vibration from middle of chassis.
You might need to replace motor mount as poly or solid so it separates vibrations.

Excellent and well made mount! Finally we have something to replace our garbage OEM gearbox mounts here in OZ!
The choice of two sets of bushings really gives the enthusiast some options. Red are perfect for the spirited daily! Very rigid with some vibration absorption, excellent smooth transition between gear shifts...! (no more soggy shifts!)
