Q: What is backorder?

When a product is on backorder, it means that we have sold out and we are opening a back order due to popular demand. This is essentially a queue, when new stock arrives from production, we’ll send your order.

Q: Will items in my order that are in stock be shipped out first?

We will send your order altogether once your backorder item is ready! You may wish to place separate orders if you want an item before the other is due back in stock.

BJ291 OEM style replacement ball joint with +20mm extension for roll center correction.

For OEM (non extended) ball joint shank, please refer to our alternate listing.

NOTE: If you are running OEM S14/S15 rotor the end of the LCA must be shaved for clearance due to the 20mm extension.

Ball joints for S13/180SX/A31 can be seen here: BJ291 Ball joint

Compatibility FRONT REAR
Nissan S14 Silvia Y N
Nissan S15 Silvia Y N

What are the benefits of using the extended balljoint shanks over non extended?

They are essentially only for super low cars, they lower the LCA to give roll centre correction, keeping the arm horizontal on a super low car.

Technically though, it should be done in conjunction with lowering the tierod though as you can introduce bump steer if you don't, we have tie rod ends to suit which can be seen here - High misalignment tie rod ends

Will this fit the Nissan Skyline R32 GTS/GTS-T, R33 GTS/GTS25-T, R34 GT/GT-T and Z32?

Yes, the balljoint will physically press in to the lower control arm, however, due to the double wishbone suspension and pitch of the knuckle it places the rotor on such an angle that it interferes with the brake disc and thus, shaving is required which is not ideal.
