What's the advantage of using the GKTech solid shifter mount?
Instead of using old/worn rubber components this mount assures minimal movement in the mount drastically improving the feel of the gearbox.
Does the exhaust hanger still bolt up to this mount?
Yes, itsure does. Most gearbox mounts available on the market don't have this provision but ours does.
Do I need solid engine mounts to use this gearbox mount?
No, it's quite common for people to only upgrade their gearbox mount as this is the part thataffectsthe driver the most. What modifications are required, is this hard to fit? No modifications are required, simply just remove and refit.
Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?
Yes, provided you have general mechanical knowledge it is very straight forward. Installation should take around 30minutes.
Do you sell solid engine mounts?
We do, however they are not for the faint-hearted. The gearbox mount on its own isn't bad but together with the solid engine mounts they are very extreme and only recommended for track driven cars.
