What is a Backorder?

Q: What is backorder?

When a product is on backorder, it means that we have sold out and we are opening a back order due to popular demand. This is essentially a queue, when new stock arrives from production, we’ll send your order.

Q: Will items in my order that are in stock be shipped out first?

We will send your order altogether once your backorder item is ready! You may wish to place separate orders if you want an item before the other is due back in stock.

The GKTECH braided clutch lines are a direct replacement and are stronger than the OEM lines. The OEM lines are rubber which are economical to produce but after 20+ years, they're prone to splitting and are susceptible to expanding which in turn gives a spongy feeling, particuarly when heat is introduced. Our braided clutch lines remove this spongy feeling and our optional high temp heat sleeve helps even further.

If you're doing an auto to manual conversion or if you simply want to delete the complexity of OEM clutch line damper system our damper delete kit is the one you'll want. This line runs direct from the master cylinder to the slave with no noticable negatives.

Alternatively, if you'd like to retain the OEM damper system and just replace the OEM rubber line, meaning it will run from the OEM damper system to the slave cylinder select the non damper delete option.

The GKTECH braided brake lines are assembled by us in-house in Australia using stainless steel fittings, stainless steel braided line with a Teflon inner tube and PVC outer for protection. They have passed independent testing and are marked as complying to FMVSS106 standards, ADR approved and are DOT compliant.

FAQs

What are the differences in line length?
The OEM clutch damper delete clutch line that runs from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder measures 60cm end to end. The clutch line which retains the factory clutch damper system which goes to the slave cylinder measures 28cm end to end.

How do I know which clutch line I need?
The option is up to yourself, if you are doing a manual conversion and you don't want to run the bulky factory damper system or if you wanted to have things less complicated and clean up the appearance then you would select the damper delete option.

I am doing a manual conversion, which clutch line do I buy?
Unless you have all the damper hard lines, which is super uncommon when purchasing a conversion, all you would need is the one line from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder being the damper delete.

PLEASE STOP SAYING THIS FITS R34 GTT, Fits PUSH clutch, NOT FACTORY PULL, r32/r33 GTR line is may...

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF INTERNET SANITY, stop saying this line fits r34 gtt unless you're running a PULL clutch.

One of the other reviews has trolled at least two of us buying this line for R34 GTT running pull clutches because we're not paying attention and only seeing "R34" and "works"/"bought".
Absolutely NOT plausible with a pull clutch mounted facing the back side of the transmission, at least 5cm or more too short as its a straight fitting. Straight fitting if you're running PUSH clutches is fine because the slave is mounted the other direction, facing the front of the car not the back.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU'RE RUNNING PULL CLUTCHES.

Hi Jason, we don't list this for fitment on an R34 and as I'm sure you can imagine, we can't control what others are saying but thanks for sharing the info.

I would give it a 0 star if I could....

It's way to short and doesn't have a 90 degree end. Trying to get this thing tight in my slave with the master side on and it cross threaded and destroyed my slave cylinder

Hi Aj, sorry to hear that you had an issue with the line length. It sounds like you may have been sent the wrong line but if you can send through a photo or some measurements, we can confirm very quickly and if wrong, we'll express post the correct line out right away.
