Product enquiry

When upgrading your S13/180sx rear brakes to Nissan 2 pot calipers/drum setup you will find the handbrake cables do not exactly line up to the S13/180sx chassis and handbrake lever.

The GKTECH cable conversion plate is made from laser cut 8mm thick steel and allows you to easily adapt R33 (2 door) cables to your S13/180sx chassis and handbrake lever.

We allow these lines to be located via the OEM handbrake pin which is cast into the cable bracket and also has incorporated an M8 thread in the plate to hold the cables down rather than the M6 thread used from OEM. This means you don’t have to waste time around with loose nuts on the top and fidgeting around with spanners and different tools.

While you are doing this conversion it would be worth upgrading the brake lines also. You can choose from either just the rear lines if you have the front sorted or a full kit.

Our full brake line kit is specifically made for an S13/180sx that is doing this conversion and using these brakes.

The Gktech brake lines have passed independent testing and are marked as complying to FMVSS106 standards, this means they continue to be ADR approved and are DOT compliant.

We also offer R33 OEM handbrake cables to suit the 5 stud drum conversion, which can be selected above.

Great product

When installed my drives haft hit the cables because of my raised subframe luckily they designed it so the cables can run up top and make enough clearance great product would recommend to everyone

S13 to Z32 brake upgrade

Pretty straight forward. Everything had gone smooth so far. My passenger rear brake hardline was seized but it's out now. I only have to install the driver rear drum and rotor. I'm unaware if I need different brake master cylinder lines as I also have the 300ZX brake booster😁

You might run into issues.

I believe the kit actually comes with 2+2 ebrake lines. They fit but extremely tightly. I ended up having some issues with the lines rubbing against my driveshaft and was unable to route the lines on top of the plate due to the short length. I’m going to try the R33 lines and see if they are long enough to mount on top.

My setup includes a subframe rise and 1pc driveshaft.

E-brake cable will touch driveshaft

Nice quality , fast shipping but not a direct bolt on, they could of design it differently so the end user doesn’t have to modify it.

Hi Kay, I don't quite follow. What was the issue that you encountered?
