FAQs
Why doesn’t this kit also suit R34 GTR?Although, R33 and R34 GTR have the same rotor size and caliper. The hole sizes on the knuckles are different. R33 uses M12 and R34 uses M14. Our brake kit uses M12 bolts and holes. If you have an R33 GTR caliper on your R34 GTR, this kit would fit.
This kit uses my existing caliper with a larger HFM.Parts rotor, does that mean there will there be pad overhang? If so, how much?
This kit works by spacing out your existing calipers, which in turn, the brake pads position will follow, to accommodate for the larger rotor. While we’ve designed this kit to have minimal pad overhang, there are no brake pads (that we’re aware of) that will fit within the original caliper and cover more surface area. You will have ~1.5mm of pad overhang when using OEM brake pads.
What brake pads do you recommend?
You will need to use OEM or equivalent brake pads as you are using your OEM caliper. We aren’t able to advise what compounds are best suited for you as it is personal preference and depends on your vehicles purpose.
Do you have replacement parts available?
Yes! Once you have worn out your rotors you can purchase replacement rotors sold without the aluminium hat and even new adapters should you need them.
Are these rotors directional?
No, they are not. Regardless of the slot design, the pillars are straight veined so you can install them on either side of your car.
